Terms of Service

Last updated: June 17, 2025

These Terms of Service govern your use of Jupiter, a Discord music bot. Please read them carefully before using the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By inviting Jupiter to your Discord server or using any of its commands and features, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately remove Jupiter from your server and stop using the service. These terms apply to all users, server administrators, and anyone who interacts with Jupiter in any way.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Jupiter, in compliance with Discord's own Terms of Service. By using Jupiter, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 13, you are not permitted to use this service under any circumstances.

3. Use of Service

Jupiter is a Discord music bot designed to provide music playback and related features for Discord communities. You agree to use Jupiter solely for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with Discord's Terms of Service. You must not use Jupiter to transmit, distribute, or facilitate any content that violates applicable laws, infringes on intellectual property rights, is harmful, abusive, obscene, or disruptive to other users or to the service itself.

4. User Responsibilities

Server owners and administrators are fully responsible for how Jupiter is used within their communities. You are responsible for all content queued or played through Jupiter in your server. You agree not to spam commands, attempt to exploit or reverse-engineer Jupiter's systems, circumvent rate limits, or take any action that degrades service quality for other users. Abuse of features such as noprefix, blacklist, or playlist commands in ways not intended may result in restriction or removal of access.

5. Data We Store

To provide its features, Jupiter stores the following data: your Discord User ID (used for noprefix access, blacklist enforcement, command usage count for your profile, and playlist storage), your Discord Server ID (used for custom prefix settings, 24/7 mode configuration, blacklisted server records, and the ignore command for channels). This data is stored only as long as necessary to provide the relevant features and is not linked to any personally identifiable information beyond your Discord account.

6. Intellectual Property

Jupiter does not host, store, or distribute any audio content. All music is streamed in real time from third-party platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud. Compliance with applicable copyright laws is the sole responsibility of the user and the platform providing the content. Jupiter does not claim ownership over any third-party content accessed through its commands.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep Jupiter online and available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Jupiter may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the service at any time.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to remove Jupiter from any Discord server, restrict access to any user, or blacklist any server or user who violates these Terms, without prior notice or liability. You may remove Jupiter from your server at any time by kicking or banning the bot. Upon removal, Jupiter will cease all activity in that server immediately.

9. Limitation of Liability

Jupiter and its developers are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Jupiter — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. When we make significant changes, we will announce them in our official Discord support server so users are informed. Continued use of Jupiter after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend joining our support server to stay updated.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
