Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains exactly what data Jupiter collects, why, and how it is handled.
This Privacy Policy explains how Jupiter ("we", "our", or "the bot") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Discord music bot. We are committed to being transparent about the data we store and ensuring it is used only to deliver Jupiter's features. By using Jupiter, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Jupiter collects and stores only the minimum data required to operate its features: • Discord User ID — stored to manage noprefix access, blacklist enforcement, command usage count (displayed on your profile), and to save personal playlists. • Discord Server ID — stored to save your server's custom prefix, 24/7 mode setting, blacklisted server status, and ignored channel configurations via the ignore command. We do not collect your username, email address, messages, IP address, or any other personal information. No audio content is ever recorded or stored.
The data we store is used exclusively to provide Jupiter's features as described above. Specifically: • User IDs are used to identify and apply per-user settings such as noprefix access, blacklist status, usage statistics, and playlists. • Server and Channel IDs are used to apply per-server configurations such as custom prefixes, 24/7 mode, and ignored channels. Your data is never used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the bot's features.
We do not sell, share, trade, or transfer your data to any third parties under any circumstances. Jupiter does not integrate with any analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers. Music is streamed in real time from third-party platforms such as YouTube and Spotify — these platforms operate under their own privacy policies and we have no control over their data practices. Jupiter itself shares nothing.
Your data is retained only as long as it is needed to provide the relevant feature. If you remove Jupiter from your server, server-specific data (custom prefix, 24/7 settings, ignored channels) may be cleared. If you wish to have your personal data (User ID records, playlists, noprefix status) deleted at any time, you may contact us through our support server and we will process your request promptly.
We take reasonable precautions to protect stored data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure. We encourage you to reach out immediately via our support server if you suspect any misuse of data related to Jupiter.
Jupiter is not intended for users under the age of 13, in line with Discord's own Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we become aware that data has been collected from a user under 13, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child under 13 has used Jupiter, please contact us via our support server.
You have the right to request access to the data Jupiter holds about you, request correction of any inaccurate data, and request deletion of your data at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please join our Discord support server at discord.gg/F8KT45yxqN and raise your request. We will respond as quickly as possible.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how Jupiter operates. When we make significant changes, we will announce them in our official Discord support server so users are notified. We encourage you to join the support server to stay informed of any updates.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. By using Jupiter, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in this policy under Indian jurisdiction.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests related to this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact us by joining our Discord support server at discord.gg/F8KT45yxqN. We take privacy seriously and will respond to all inquiries promptly.
